Today’s Article – First Day @ Work

First Day @ Work

Hi I’m Keri, video-blog girl and 24 hours’ newest addition to enhance your Olympic experience.

I’m seeing your city with fresh eyes as this is the furthest west I’ve ever been.  Already I like the rain… humans are supposed to be moist, eh?  Although I’ve seen only the airport, SkyTrain and my new desk here, I can certainly smell the excitement.

Expect a daily article and frequent video podcasts all from my mobile studio that fits on my back.

Send me your ideas and if you see me, yell Hi!  Let’s celebrate Canada!

Vancouver 24 Hours

My New Work – Vancouver 24 Hours

Check out my press pass, I’m official:

And my new digs:

Find them here: Vancouver.24hrs.ca

In tomorrow’s paper I’ll have a 100 word article, and another 20 word little one, and my picture and name, and I’ll show you on camera.  My training paid off, eh, just saying :)

That’s my new headshot above; thanks Mark for humouring the tired, photo-disliking girl.

From the Airport to My Office

Took the SkyTrain, specifically the Canada Line.  You use the SkyTrain to move around Vancouver, and the Canada Line to get from the Airport to downtown, brand new from August last year.

– first view of the rings

– that’s the Delta hotel where I’ve heard an unconfirmed rumour NBC has rented out the entire thing

– that orange box, MY newspaper box, was the very first I thing I saw coming off the train (kay technically the first thing I saw was a guy with a bloody nose, but not photoshopping that)

– that’s a three lane road, the furthest lane right being solely for Olympic vehicles.  If you’re not one and get caught it’s a $200 fine
