Went to See Jay of ‘Daily Planet’

He just published his 8th book, “Daily Planet Book of Cool Ideas” and gave a talk about it at First Canadian Place.  He’s an eloquent speaker I thought, and so did the masses of ladies there; ladies man!

I mulled over and over if I should talk to him but decided not to in case he had no idea what I was talking about and I embarrassed him in front of his fans.

OH… remember I told you I got a contract doing work for Discovery Channel?  It was designing a mobile broadcasting system for Jay here.
I was also tasked to give my ideas and implementations on that sick new Microsoft Surface technology (they used one in the latest Bond film, 0:39).  I took that as “I will now write myself into every ‘Daily Planet’ episode using the thing”.november 10 2008

Mr. Rogers Luncheon

The event was presented by ‘The Economic Club of Toronto’ and held at ‘The Sheraton’ on Queen Street.  I love how Canadian he is and always goes out of his way to be.

They gave each of us a copy of his book, ‘Relentless‘, so now I have two.  Would you like mine?  It’s a great read; the guy is motivating.  If yes, email me why and whomever has the best answer I’ll ship it to you.

Oh and as for ankle, it’s a disaster.  The Doctor said it would have been better if I’d broken it because then it’d heal faster.  I tore the tendons and ligaments so badly they showed up on the X-ray.  Go big or go home.   october 6 2008

jPod Premiered Tonight

Watched it online, and it was outstanding.january 8 2008

Usually, okay every time,  I see a video adaption of a book I prefer the book; it just looks better in my head, you know?

But not this.  Unsurprisingly, jPod’s author Douglas Coupland is heavily involved.   I heart him SO much.

When I was 16 I read ‘Shampoo Planet‘ and it changed everything.  It like, made me realize all I had to do was wait it out till it was time to be older and things would be just fine.  Maybe that sounds wacked, but it’s hard to type the feeling.
