Big Hockey Names and the Stanley Cup

Scotiabank Hockey Club had an event this morning where I met some legends and see the cup, lucky eh?  Look how cute they are:

Left to right: Mark Napier, Doug Gilmour, Gordie Howe and Johnny Bower.

Me: Hi Gordie!
Him: Oh look over there (hugs me)
Me: Can’t believe I fell for that.
Us: [chuckling]
Me: Hey I wanted to tell you I think your peripheral vision is so cool
Him: Oh it’s not, it’s just because my head is narrow.

Of course you paw the cup.

It was the same group that put on the event I attended last year, “Skate with the Greats at Maple Leaf Gardens” and my same friend invited me along, she works for the bank, that’s how I ended up here, thanks lady and thanks Scotia.

Here’s my episode, “Exploring Hockey Legends”, which was my Xmas gift to Canada.

Everything Summed Up In 0:11

Made this while making my other project videos.  It’s more for those who’ve never met me, and will eventually be at the top of my re-vamped ‘About Me’ page.

The Explorers Club is a prestigious global organization dedicated to advancing research and exploration, whose past members include Presidents, astronauts and Everest summiteers, they’ve been at it for 100+ years and could maybe use a blog girl.

From their founding document, 1905:

– to further general exploration, to spread knowledge of the same;

– to acquire and maintain a library of exploration;

– and to encourage explorers in their work by “evincing interest and sympathy, and especially by bringing them in personal contact and binding them in the bonds of good fellowship

Rent “It’s Complicated”

How gigi-lala is this… I was invited to The Hazelton, Toronto’s only 5-star hotel, to eat white chocolate popcorn and see an advanced screening of It’s Complicated.  Not to be all braggy, but it was sick.

Top left is the screening room, click here for proper photos.  Cel signals are blocked in there, smart eh.

I adore Steve Martin, he’s on my ‘Top 5 Funniest People List’.  When I first saw “Dirty Rotten Scoundrels” two summers ago I went around for weeks going OooookkkkkllllllhomaOklahomaOklahomaaaaaaaaa (link to 0:08 video).   It annoyed everyone.

Steve killed it, so did Alec Baldwin (I <3 Jack) and you just can’t stop looking at Meryl, eh.  It really is LOL funny and I predict a sequel, the ending just reeked of one.  I’ll be seeing it.

There’s a Facebook Widgit to see what kind of date you are (I’m Easy Peasy), and here’s the IMDB page.

Then I felt I had to even it all out by posting this TwitPic.
